Litho3D is an online lithophane generator designed for fast, accurate, and customizable 3D models. Upload any photo, preview the result in real-time 3D, and download a print-ready STL without using any external slicer or design software. Every model is computed using a detailed heightmap that captures brightness, shadows, and fine texture while keeping the geometry optimized for printing.
Lithophanes are thin 3D surfaces that reveal an image when lit from behind. Lighter areas of the picture are printed thinner, while darker areas are thicker. When placed near a lamp or window, the difference in light transmission creates a detailed glowing photograph. Litho3D automates this heightmap process with gamma controls, blur smoothing, contrast tools, and optional inversion for backlit effects.
